Privacy Policy

GrowGood ("we", "us") helps families organize routines, tasks and rewards. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using GrowGood at growgood.ca and our associated apps, you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

• Account info: your email address, password (hashed), and optional profile info you provide.
• Family data: family name, children's first names, ages, avatars, tasks, rewards, points, and prayer/routine logs you create in the app.
• Device info: paired Family Hub / child device identifiers, browser and OS type, IP address, and app version.
• Billing info: processed by our payment provider (Paddle). We receive subscription status, plan and country — we do not store your full card number.
• Usage & diagnostics: log data, errors and basic analytics so we can keep the service reliable.

2. How we use information

• To provide, maintain and improve GrowGood.
• To sync your family's data across the web app, Family Hub, and mobile apps.
• To send transactional messages (billing receipts, security notices, service updates).
• To deliver push notifications you or your children have opted in to.
• To detect abuse, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.

3. Children's privacy

GrowGood is designed to be used by families. Child profiles are created and managed by a parent or guardian. We only collect the minimum information about children needed to run the app (first name, age/birthday if provided, avatar, and activity you log inside the family). Parents can edit or delete a child profile at any time from the Parent Admin.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your data. We share information only with:

• Service providers that host and operate GrowGood (cloud database, push notifications, error monitoring).
• Paddle, our payment processor, for subscriptions and taxes.
• Google, if you choose to sign in with Google (we receive your name and email).
• Authorities, when required by law.

5. Data retention

We keep your family's data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel and delete your account, we remove your family data within 30 days, except where we must retain limited records for legal, tax or security reasons.

6. Security

We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, row-level security on our database, hashed PINs and passwords, and short-lived tokens for paired devices. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to protect your family's data.

7. Your rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your data at any time from the Parent Admin or by emailing us. If you are in the EU, UK, or Canada, you also have rights under GDPR / PIPEDA including the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

8. International transfers

GrowGood is operated from Canada and uses cloud infrastructure that may process data in other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes we will notify you by email or in-app notice before they take effect.
