GrowGood Family Hub

One shared screen. The whole family on the same page.

Turn a tablet or computer you already own into a GrowGood Family Hub for your home. Kids tap their name, see what's expected today, mark things done, and watch their progress add up.

What is a Family Hub?

An always-on family screen — usually a tablet on the kitchen counter or living room wall. Kids don't need their own login or phone. They tap their profile and go.

Do I need special hardware?

No. GrowGood runs in a normal web browser. Use an old tablet, a new one, a Chromebook, or any laptop or desktop you already have.

Set up a Family Hub in 5 minutes.

  1. 1
    Choose a tablet or computer.

Anything you already own works. A tablet on the counter is the sweet spot.

  2. 2
    Open GrowGood on that device.

Go to growgood.ca in the browser.

  3. 3
    Choose Family Hub.

On your parent phone or laptop, generate a 6-digit connection code.

  4. 4
Enter the code on the Hub.

The Hub is now connected to your family.

  5. 5
Name it — like “Kitchen Tablet.”

Give the Hub a name so you can manage multiple screens later.

  6. 6
    You're done.

Kids tap their name and start using it. You approve from your phone.

Which devices can I use?

Any modern device with a supported web browser. Here's the short version for the most common setups.

iPad

Open GrowGood in Safari. Tap Share → Add to Home Screen. Open it from the Home Screen for a full-screen feel. For a locked-in Hub experience, turn on Guided Access in Settings → Accessibility.

Android tablet

Open GrowGood in Chrome. Use “Add to Home screen” for one-tap launch. Enable Screen Pinning in Settings if you want to keep the Hub on-screen.

Windows / touchscreen PC

Open GrowGood in Edge or Chrome and press F11 for full-screen. Works great on wall-mounted touchscreens and mini PCs.

Mac / laptop / desktop

Touch is optional. A regular laptop or desktop works fine as a Hub — kids can also use a mouse and keyboard.

Chromebook

Open in Chrome, add to shelf, use full-screen. Great for older kids' desks.

Wall-mounted tablet

Any of the above tablets, mounted in your kitchen or hallway, is the classic GrowGood setup.

Family Hub vs. personal devices

You can use both. Most families start with just the Family Hub.

Family Hub

Shared. Interactive. Kids pick their profile with a PIN, see today's list, tap tasks done, and request rewards. No personal login needed.

Personal kid app coming soon

For older kids with their own phone. Same points, tasks and rewards — private to that child. Parents pair the child's device with a QR code.

Family Display planned

A future view-only mode for a TV or wall monitor — showing today's family progress, upcoming responsibilities, celebrations, and prayer times (if enabled). Not yet available as a production feature.
